BAKUL (Mimusops elengi)

 Bark, flower, fruit

Properties :

 Analgesic,Anti-thrist,Reftigerant,Anti-inflammatory

Specific Property :

 Pitt-Kaph-samak

Dosage :

 Powder of flower : 1-2 Masha
Qecoction of bark : 50-100ml.

Uses :

 » Chewing of the Bakul seeds,it makes the moving teeth stable.
» Paste of root-bark of baku1 taken with milk in morning for 3 days make the teeth stable and firm.
» In case of Chronic Colitis - The ripe fruit of Bakul should be given.
» In excessive salivation -Gargle with decoction of Bakul bark is useful.


BAKUCHI (Psoralia Corylifolia)

Properties :

 Cardiac tonic,Bronchial, Anti-spasmodics,Anti-leprotic,Anti-diabetes,Anthelmentic

Specific Property :

 Kaph vata samak

Dosage :

 Powder : 1 - 3 gms.

Uses :

 » In Vitiligo - Bakuchi seeds 160gms with Hartal 40gms. prounded with cow's urinere stores nonnal colour.
»Powder of Bakucri taken with decoction of A.malki & Khair destroys Kusth.
» Intake oftila one part with Bakuchi two parts daily destroys Kusth.
» In leucoderma & Psoriasis - Powder of BakuchI mixed with chalmongra oil should be applied locally.
» In Kusth -An ointment with the powder of Bakuchi mixed with SUnthi destroys severe & chronic Kusth.

BRAHMI(Bacopa monnieri)

 Laxative,Promoting long life,Rejuvinator

Specific Property :

 Intellect promoting

Dosage :

 Powder : 3-12 Ratti
Expressed juice : 1O-20ml

Uses :

 » Being rejuvinator and tonic,used in general dibility.
» Brahmi should be taken with honey, and ghee for promoting intellect.
» In depression, Mental debility - Brahami leaves powder should be used.
» In Epilepsy and Insanity -Old ghee processed with brahami juice, vaca,shankhpushpi all eviates insanity &e pilepsy.
» Coryza in case of children -One tsf expressed juice relieves symptoms by causing vomiting and purgation.
»Expressed juice is used externally in arthritis.
