 Kaph-Vata-Samak,Pitta vardhak

 1-4 Masha

Uses :

 » Tejpatt gives str~ngthto uterine muscles.
» In skin diseases - The paste of tejpatt leaves should be applied locally.
» In case of Headache- Local application oftejpatt should be done.
» Oil of its leaves has wound healing property.
» Powder of its leaves is useful in - Anorexia, Loss of appetite, abdominal colic & colitis.

NIRGUNDI (Vitex niaundo)

Properties :

 Anthelmintic, Curative of dennatitis,Anti-inflammatory & Analgesic

Specific Property :

 Kaph-vata-samak

Dosage :

 Expressed juice of leavcs : 10-20 ml.
Powder of root bark : 3-5gms.
Powder of Seeds : 6-12 ratti

Uses :

 » Effective in inflammatory conditions -External & internal use of nirgundi is useful in Pneumonitis,Peritonitis,Arthritis.
» Decoction of Nirgundi leaves mixed with Pippli and gudhvach alleviates cold and pharyngitis.
» In Arthritis and Lumbago PowdEr of Nirgundi root should be taken with oil is useful.
» Ghee mixed with juice of Nirgundi(Wholeplant)alleviates cough caused by kaph.
» In Rheumatic arthritis - Juice of Nirgundi and Tulsi with powder of Ajwayan should be taken.
» Oil cooked with the juice of root and leaves of Nirgundi is useful as intake an ointment and filling in Sinus, Kusth, Vatavyadhi eczema and scrofula.

PUNARNAVA (Boerhavia diffusa)

Dosage :

 Powder - 3-6 gms.
Expressed juice-5-10 ml.

Uses :

 » In Oedema - Paste of punamava, sunthi and Mustak should be taken in a dose of 1Ogm with milk.
» Used in Acute hapatic disorders & Ascites due to chronic peritonitis.
» In Jaundice - Punarnava is very effective.
» In Heart diseases - It should be taken with kutki, Chirayata & Sunthi.
» In Conjuctivitis - Freshroot powder of punarnava mixed with honey should be used as eye application.
» As Rasayana - One who takes pastes of fresh punamava 20mg with milk.
